I was in service from 1969 to 1989, and went thru 3 fatigue uniform changes, the change from the khaki long sleeve shirt to the short and long sleeve off blue shirt for the greens. The change from winter and summer greens to 1 weight class A uniform, the addition of the pullover, the deletion of the heavy winter overcoat, the change from the off green raincoat to the black raincoat/winter coat combo, and the deletion of the khaki short sleeve uniform. and the addition of a short windbreaker. Needless to say the NCO's had to buy all the changed uniforms. I'm not sure, but I think the *new* Class A 'Blues' cost upwards of $300 for 1 complete set.

Every gosh-darn Cheif of Staff and Cmd Sgt Major of the Army, wants to change the uniform, and everyone hates the change.
